New girl at Partagas

Charge of the 551 staff, who last year produced 8 million Habanos, at the world famous Partagas factory (FPG) has passed into the hands of 33 year old Hilda Baro.

She graduated with honours from the Odessa Institute of Economics and then rapidly made a name for herself in production management at the La Corona factory (FR).

She of course smokes cigars. Her favourite size is the 7" x 38 ring gauge Delicados, a long slender vitola.. Her grandfather was a great smoker too. He started when he was 12 and regularly lit up 10 cigars a day until his death at the age of 100. The workforce, which not only makes Partagas but also Bolivar, Ramon Allones and La Gloria Cubana as well as some Montecristo and Cohibas for other factories, is split 60/40, men versus women.
